Some home cooking

Despite the mild weather, I haven't been cooking a lot. Josh brought home this branzino and I roasted it. Delicious.

We picked up some stone crabs at Whole Foods and I asked the fishmonger to crack them for me. He showed me the trick: using a sharpening steel. When I ate them, I could taste the difference in doing it myself and having it done at the store, even an hour before.

I make a sauce from Joe's Stone Crab but never could make it properly because I didn't have A1. So the last time we were at Kroger, I bought some. Funny.

This was the dinner that followed the stone crab. I think this is Storico Fresco's 36 hour bolognese.

I wanted crab so we ended up making crab cakes. Fresh corn and asparagus. Tasty. That is a lot of crab cakes in one serving, let me tell you.
