I haven't been cooking much, but there are some glimpses of homemade meals.
Here, a roasted branzino. I also roasted asparagus and made fava beans. It was pretty decent.
After a long day of planting in the garden, I whipped up some guacamole and a PDT-style margarita. Tasty.
And then I fell asleep on the couch.
Korean BBQ for Memorial Day. I pickled daikon discs and washed way too much lettuce. I made a scallion salad and tossed some Tianjin bok choy with a Jean-Georges salad dressing.
I marinated angus short ribs over night and then grilled them up on the Egg.
Single serving! It was okay. Not great.
I actually heated up the beef today as a snack, slicing up the whole ones left from dinner. I thinly sliced up scallions and pulled out marinating daikon discs. It was better than last time!
This is what we had last night. Heritage Farms strip steak with a pretty tasty chimichurri. I defrosted Osage creamy Silver Queen corn and butter beans. The butter beans I boiled in salted water and then tossed with some butter. The corn was creamed in half n half. And then I made potatoes. Little golds that I parboiled for 12 minutes, then roasted with garlic in the oven and topped with parsley.
It was delicious. Best damn dinner I had made in a long time. Yay.
