Dinner at home

As you know, I haven't been cooking at home very much. It's not great because not only is it expensive to go out, but when you're busy at work, it keeps you from being able to work when you get home. So for one week, I cooked at home every night, tired of cooking though I was.

Josh had gone to the store to buy vegetables, and he came home also bearing a huge hanger steak! I cooked up only 1/3 of the steak and it was still a generous amount. I parboiled and then roasted some potatoes and also some asparagus. I had made black beans last weekend for a batch of breakfast burritos and still has some in the fridge.

I also whipped together a chimichurri with the steak. Tasty.

We had bought a two-bone pork rack from Whole Foods. Huge.

I defrosted some Silver Queen corn and creamed it. Also cooked up some broccoli with garlic and made a small salad.

From table to plate. It was delicious. Neither of us could quite finish our porks. I guess I should put those into tacos or pita.
