We went home for my dad's birthday which was pretty much an entire weekend of celebration.
We surprised him at a restaurant and they brought out these birthday toh (peaches). Apparently they are very traditional.
Stuffed inside is a lotus seed paste. Not bad.
Black forest cake from the Black Forest Bakery. My favorite.
You just cannot find a moist, delicious black forest cake like this in Atlanta. Damn, it was good. So I had two slices.
We went to Imperial Palace on Sunday for a super early dinner. Just the three of us so we got toong choy in fermented bean curd sauce. Yum, though stalky.
You can't go to Imperial Palace without crab rice. Delicious.
And then this steamed rice with ginger and scallion. The fish was so tender and light. Mmmmm, delicious.
