Weeknight dinner

Josh stopped at the store on his way home and he picked up the stuff for dinner. This is both a blessing and a curse when you get home. You don't have to think about what you are having but you also have no choices. On this Thursday night in particular, I was pretty tired.

There was a pile of creminis, so I washed and pulled out their stems and then set them over low heat with a pile of garlic. I like squash just cooked covered with garlic like my mom made when I was little. This batch turned out more greyish than usual, probably because I turned the heat too low when things were taking longer to cook than I anticipated.

The green beans always take way longer to cook than I expect so I started them fairly early, keeping it on low heat also. This low heat stuff is probably a killer on my cooking.

The halibut was prepared simply, just a dusting of s+p plus wondra on each side then cook four minutes then two minutes.

I finished it all off with a butter lettuce salad with McMullan tomatoes and a champagne vinaigretta topped with Decimal Place feta.
