Lamb at Cafe Sababa
We ended up at Cafe Sababa because I had a lot of work to do and had already gotten home late. I had planned, on the drive over, to get a lamb burger but when we arrived, we found that they had the lamb shank special in a red wine sauce served over herbed polenta.
I had passed on this special before for the lamb burger and I thought about doing it again tonight, but the logic that the lamb burger was always available and the special was not... well, logic won out.
And worth it, it certainly was. The shank was meaty and tender. The sauce rich and unctuous. The herbed polenta was a wonderful accompaniment. I didn't think I could possibly eat it all but I did. And then I chomped on the bone.
Excellent! I want another!
