Tomatoes!

The black krims were at last ready to harvest, of course right when it was time for me to go a my only trip of the year. Sigh.

These were the first of the harvest. The cores were rather large, the shoulders rather green and hard. They're a pretty good size, as you can see.

Tomato sammich #1, lunch before heading to the airport, plus a nice fresh mozzarella. Very tasty.

When I came back from the trip, Josh had already harvested more tomatoes. There are good amount of san marzanos, which I should probably make into a sauce before they all go bad.

And look at all the black krims!

We had gone to the farmers market to pick up meet from Heritage Farms and while we were there, we picked up a pain au levain from Holeman & Finch. So I cleaned up a bunch of the black krims, toasted slices of pain au levain, and made tomato sammiches for lunch. Delicious.

And a plum pimms cup.
