We were headed to the aquarium store to get water and planned to head to The Cuban Diner for lunch. Surprisingly, it was closed. Apparently, it's always closed on Sunday, and yet I was sure that we had been there on a Sunday before.
We sat in the car and googled things that were close by. We came up with Tassa Roti Shop (tassarotishop.com which got a good Zagat rating.
The restaurant does buffet only. The staff was very friendly. I sampled almost everything at the start to hone in on my favorites.
This was my second plate, piled generously with lentils, yucca, and spinach, which was a cross between creamed spinach and saag, with a hint of spice that I can't quite place. I also got some jerk chicken, which is definitely more stewy than I would have thought but the flavor was great. And pretty spicy.
It was good. I will be back.
