Saturday morning market

We haven't been making it to the Peachtree Road Farmer's Market all season. Busy, tired, not cooking, etc. But I needed to stock the freezer so I put some stuff on hold with Greg at Heritage Farms and we headed over to pick it all up.

In addition to the meat, we couldn't resist stocking up one two kinds of Storico Fresco pasta -- one with porcini and mortadella and the other with cotechino, peas, and grana padano. Then a boatload of chanterelles -- about two pounds to be exact. I'll saute these in butter and freeze most of it. Then we picked up some Batdorf & Bronson coffee which is $3 cheaper than it is at Whole Foods!

From Heritage, we picked up much of what I wanted but we'll still have to wait a bit for the rest of the pork. Ground beef, beef cheeks, whole chickens, pork shoulder roast, center cut pork loin. And a whole hod sausage. Also pre-ordered turkeys for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Yums!
