Taka

Tuesday night at Taka brought the usual assortment of things. He had a choice of fish heads for me but I told him to choose. It was a black porgy head simmered in miso. Then instead of the omakase, I ordered (!) though it was a bit aggressive considering how much the fish head filled me up. Bluefin maguro, toro, blue shrimp, ama-ebi (sweet shrimp), uni, live scallop, and, something they got in special and may not get again, shark skin sole, which was so clean tasting and sweet. Very firm flesh.
