STG Trattoria
We headed over to STG for a nice Saturday lunch. We started off with this salad. I can't remember what was in it exactly, maybe lady peas and fava beans. It was very spring and delicious.
And then, a peach bruschetta with lardo. It's interesting to see how the texture of peach can be similar to tomato. While I thought it was good, I thought it was not necessarily for me.
Here we have a nice and generous charcuterie plate. A white bean hummus, which was my favorite. A duck rillettes. A smoked trout pate. Some Virginia ham. A familiar-tasting sausage. The only thing I definitely didn't like was some marinated mushrooms.
Pork belly and gnocchi. Rapini. Spicy.
And a buttermilk panna cotta.
We didn't get pizza so we went back the next day. While still solid, it was not quite the excellently charred pizza we had had in past visits.
