Cakes & Ale

We hadn't been to Cakes & Ale since it moved locations. I didn't really remember being crazy about Cakes & Ale but it get such great reviews and everyone seemed to love it. After I got stuck in downtown Decatur for jury duty and went there for lunch, I figured we should give dinner another try. It was a couple months ago that we were there so my brain is pretty fuzzy. Not many details remain.

The oysters, like most oysters, were good.

We had just had an amazing escabeche at 246. This was okay but couldn't compare to the one we just had.

This pate was smooth and delicious.

This is the fish that Josh had for dinner.

And I had this one.

As you can see, I ate it all, but I think it was mostly a point of pride and a little less of awesomeness.

Overall, I remember that I thought the meal was okay, but when I saw that it came in at double the price we pay at 246, I was horrified. Never again.
