246 is one of our standbys. Take an early arrival at home or even just a long day and we often end up at 246. Monday was no exception.
When we arrived, it was pretty quiet. The bar was empty so we had our choice of seats. I stopped in to say hello to Drew and he mentioned that they had a foie gras torchon special. Well, you know that I love the foie so clearly, I was going to order that.
Apparently, strawberries are in season! The pimms cup featured them. So I got one of those also.
Here is the luscious, generous foie torchon with pickled strawberries. It came with toasted bread, but I ate the whole delicious thing alone with my knife. Long live the foie!
For dinner itself, I got the prosciutto pizza which was a sauceless pizza with garlic, prosciutto, and arugula. It was nicely charred and crispy. I ate the whole delicious thing. I think this is the best pizza I've had there.
One of these things is not like the other...
Our CSA pickup from 2/23. A golden and red beet. More pac choi (sigh). Sun dried tomatoes. Lettuce. Carrots. Broccoli. Broccoli leaves (masquerading as gai lan). Better get movin on this stuff.
