McMullan winter CSA

The winter months are sad for vegetables for many reasons, but probably one of the worst is that the availability of fresh, good-quality veg is just hard to come by. When we were still going to the Peachtree Road Farmers Market (hangs head in shame) we poked all our favorite farmers to ask them about winter CSAs or farm trucks so that we could keep up with our favorite meat and veg. McMullan Family Farms came through!

It's a thirteen-week program from the first the year until pretty much the beginning of the PRFM season. I wonder if they will keep going but since the pickup is at the PRFM site, I doubt it will be as convenient. And by convenient, I only mean for me since Josh is the one who has to go out to pick it up each week.

For the first pickup, we got two luscious, wonderfully-smelling tomatoes plus a great selection of small cherry tomatoes. We got a mixed bag of salad greens and a good-sized head of cauliflower.

We also got a pretty big bag of gorgeous spinach and broccoli.
