Ankimo


Sometimes I go to Taka alone. I had been only a couple times recently, but it had been a while since they had ankimo, monkfish liver pate, which is one of my favorites. The specials menu read "ankimo with uni". Two great things that go great together!

It was good... though I did miss the liquid in the soy mix that kept it light and also moist. But it was tasty.

That day, Taka-san had also gotten in good bluefin tuna. In my sashimi omakase, I had an excellent selection including both tuna and toro. Divine.
