Went to Taka today, no surprise there. Didn't know what to get so Taka recommended the aji namerou because I've never had it. The aji is marinated in miso and ponzu and then served with a mixture of stuffs including julienned beets, (radish?) sprouts, and some other stuff. It was a little spicy. The slices of aji were thick and good.
Then I had the sushi omakase as always. The best plate was in the middle: sweet shrimp topped with wasabi tobiko, scallop, toro, and tuna. Yum. The rest was good, but that was the highlight. In and out in 30 min. I only had two cups of tea. Dinner goes much faster when the restaurant is empty or you go early.
