Taka

Taka posted mid-week that he had excellent quality tuna, so naturally, we headed over there for dinner last night. We recently decided that it's smartest to go sushi omakase and then extras so that's what we did. It's hard to remember everything we had but it included live scallop, blue shrimp, hiramasa, aji, maguro, oh toro, chu toro, saba, squid, flounder, black porgy, and ... I'm missing one.

After that deliciousness, Josh got a bowl of ramen and I went on to finish with one last round of sushi: live giant clam, chu toro, uni, and sweet shrimp. So delicious. I've come a long way in a way. A year ago, I was still scared of uni and sticking mainly with tuna, salmon, and hamachi.

After I finished my sushi, I finished the ramen. Very tasty. In general, I find the soy-based ramen broth to be a tad bit salty, but the green tea soothes it.
