Second dinner at 246

We returned the next day as we promised. Drew was almost giddy in excitement. I'm glad to hear he was having fun.

To start: these delicious shigokus. Drew game over and grated fresh horseradish on each of them and then made them "drunk" by dousing each in prosecco. I could have eaten a few dozen of these. So GOOD!

Next, Monterrey Bay sardine escabeche with pickled onions on a ceci pea puree. This was a really delicious and delicate dish. I think I licked the plate.

Drew had also mentioned that he got in an awesome snapper. I had tried to weasel my way into some snapper heads, but it didn't quite work out. This snapper dish with sugar snap peas, baby carrots, swiss chard, peas, and a light nage worked out just as well.

Cheese plate! (L to R) Midnight Moon, Humboldt Fog, Moses Sleeper, and Crater Lake Blue. I favored the midnight moon and moses sleeper.

Strawberry sorbet with sea salt and balsamic!

What a superb dinner. Yum.
