sourcherryfarm.com
Last year, J and I took the train from Boston to NYC. While reading the Amtrak magazine, Arrive, I found an article on a farm called Sour Cherry. The article talked about a couple who were very into natural foods, growing their own veggies and heading out the farmers market every week. In fact, they note their weekly purchases with a section called "Farmers Market Loot." So, I took the magazine with me (I really think it's complimentary, and if not, I'm sorry.) and I've had the ripped out pages of the article in my "to read" pile for a long time. At a glance, I am in love with the farmers market loot and can't wait to read through past posts.
101cookbooks.com
I admit that looking at this site is what prompted me to remember SourCherryFarm.com. My sister recommended this blog to me for the excellent food photography. In addition to that, I'm really pleased by the lists of all her cookbooks and also her favorite books. I found myself noting which cookbooks on her shelf were already in my library. I look at this blog as kind of a where-I'd-like-to-be with my blog one day though perhaps not exactly with 101 cookbooks on my shelves. That does sound rather expensive. Now that my co-worker ME has pointed out where the macro button on the digital camera, perhaps more things will be in focus. (In fact, you may have noticed that almost all the fried rice pictures were in focus... except the one where I added the rice. Not sure what happened there.)
Hope you enjoy!
