Well, I don't often review books even though I try to keep up on my food reading. When we went to the beach, I took along Gabrielle Hamilton's Blood, Bones, and Butter and it was at the top of my list.
Normally, I feel like memoirs are great stories. But this book, it was really a story to understand how and why Gabrielle Hamilton cooks. It made me understand why we loved Prune so much, the portions are big and generous. The fried cecis that they give you when you first sit down. Certainly, it makes me want to go back again.
Definitely worth reading.
