Penne with arugula, tomatoes, goat cheese, and more garlic than I've ever had in one dish. That's what I had last night when we went for dinner at Watershed.
J was skeptical when I ordered the pasta. "Pasta at a Southern restaurant?" he said. But I wasn't sure what else to order.
We make duck breast at home so I found it hard to pay $23 for something I could feasibly make at home. $15 for Prince Edward Island mussels in a white wine sauce also pulled at my wallet strings. The last time I had the fried catfish, I was disappointed in my headless dry fish. And so I went with the pasta.

But boy, it was tasty. I was very pleased. The sauce was butter and chicken stock, I think. And as I mentioned, more garlic than I've ever had in a dish. That is really impressive if you know exactly how much garlic I like to cook with on a regular basis. Some of the garlic was a bit raw in my opinion. When I brushed my teeth, it actually burned.
After my pasta, we ordered the very good chocolate cake with milk. Wow, now that is some very good cake. It perfected my dinner. I was very pleased.
