Green Hill

Recently when J was at Costco, he saw that they had Green Hill cheese from our favorite, Sweet Grass Dairy! I was so excited! J just brought me some cheese with crackers and that is what reminded me about it.

This month's Edible Atlanta featured an article on Sweet Grass Dairy. It all started out with Green Hill Dairy, a cow dairy farm owned by Al and Desiree Weiner. After some cheesemaking experimentation, the goat farm Sweet Grass Dairy was born. To make a long story short, their daughter, Jessica, and her husband, Jeremy, took over the goat farm, and they continue to make and develop cheeses today.

Although Sweet Grass Dairy is a goat farm, Green Hill is actually a cow's milk cheese named after the cows from which the milk comes at the Green Hill Dairy. It's a nice brie-like creamy cheese. I'm enjoying mine right now with a tall glass of peach Snapple.
