Another Saturday, another market

If you know me at all, you know two things: 1) I love seafood and am always looking for new sources of excellent quality seafood. And 2) when I want something, I'm not afraid to ask. Sweet Savannah Shrimp Company started selling their shrimp at the Peachtree Rd FM. Their shrimp is absolutely delicious. We are now spoiled from eating any other shrimp. When they first joined the market, I asked them about fish after seeing that they sometimes sell fish from their brick-and-mortar store in Savannah. Well, good news: this weekend was the first they had flounder and whiting available, and I put in my order for two whole flounder. Glee! Look how beautiful they are! I had my choice of packages and went in the middle in terms of size. I'll steam these babies and serve 'em with a ginger/scallion mixture with soy sauce.

Today, the collards are Riverview looked delicious so we bought a good-sized bunch. I'll have to remember to cook those today. Suzanne also gave me a birthday rutabaga! I haven't cooked rutabaga before so I'm excited to try it. Not sure if I'll roast it or mash it. We'll have to see what strikes my fancy. We also get a healthy handful of sunchokes from Burge. Yum, sunchokes.

But wait! That's not all! We also got some arugula from Burge and some beautiful dinosaur kale from Indian Ridge. And for the first time, we went to the Greenleaf Farms stall and bought these heirloom tomatoes and absolutely gorgeous lettuces. Yum!

It was a small purchase week. We have a lot leftover from last week still.
