Holiday stocking

Still behind on posting but wanted to give an update. J and I went shopping this weekend and spent what even I consider to be an exorbitant amount at the farmers market, Star, Via Elisa, Costco, and Petsmart. We've started buying extra and freezing it, expecting to only have to go out to midtown once a month or less. That construction on the 14th street bridge is horrible.

I've started calling in my orders ahead of time. It's the only way to make sure you get what you want. I have to say that I'm really happy that I'm remembered at both Star and Via Elisa. It's a warm fuzzy feeling.

Here's the loots.

Via Elisa:
1/2 lb porcini ravioli
1/2 lb ricotta, asiago, and spek tortelloni
1/2 lb ricotta, sweet pea, and shallot tortelloni
8 slices guanciale

Star Provisions:
1 6" pear tart
marcona almonds (for J)
4 mini baguettes (they were out of the biggies)
2 vanilla bean creme brulees
1 French camembert (ready for eating)
.2 lb fois gras terrine
.28 lb grey salt
1/2 lb Paul Bertolli Toscano
2 veal shanks for osso bucco
1 duck breast
1 4-bone lamb rack
1 28-day aged bone-in ribeye
2 2-bone pork racks

Yum.

Posts still to come: Restaurant Eugene, Kyma, Sotto Sotto.
