Floataway

Wednesday night, Josh flew in and then we went out to dinner at Floataway. We haven't really gone out in a while, choosing to try to eat at home when Josh is out of town. I even ate in one night when he was out of town because it gets hard on the old wallet.

I wasn't that impressed with my cocktails this night so I'm not even going to talk about them.

Though they weren't on the menu, we were able to score a dozen kumamotos to start.

For a main, I got the loup de mer, naturally, since it was on the menu. Drew came out to check on us and asked if I wanted some lemon juice. I said a nice salsa verde would be awesome so he ran into the back to make me a batch. He is so awesome! The salsa verde is soooo good. Three anchovies, capers, parsley, shallot, chives, olive oil, s+p... So good. I actually dream about this salsa verde.

Here is a picture for you of my finished fish. I always lay out the bones all by their lonesome but this time, I thought it was hilarious to add the head and tail. Drew talked with us about some folks who get the whole fish and then send it back to be fileted. Sad. Anyway, you can see that little pot of salsa verde in the picture! A fine meal.

Josh got the porchetta and a side of okra. The porchetta was good, but I love my loup. Yum, that was a great dinner.
