Probably about a year ago, J and I went to Honey Pig for Korean BBQ. It was insanely crowded and busy that night. It was good, but not good enough to actually return regularly.
Last night, we opted to go earlier (6pm) and it was fantastic. We were right near the kitchen so we got very consistent service. They were attentive and brought us refilled bowls when we needed it. We got both the daikon disks and the rice noodle sheets. The prime short rib was fantastic. The suckling pork belly was good, but I think I'm mostly done with the pork belly. It's just not as good.
The fried rice was prepared with more care, not taking everything left on the cast iron but just a good proportion and also cutting everything into very small pieces. I'm not one for bibimbap, but it was still good. The miso soup that came afterwards was incredibly spicy. I could only eat a few spoonfuls.
Sadly, I also left my sunglasses there and they were unable to find them. Not that it will deter me from going again, but I'm sad.
