I have really fond memories of a dish I used to have when I was a kid with my mother. The restaurant was called Baker's Garden and the dish was a monte cristo wellington.
If you are familiar with monte cristo sandwiches, you know that it comes with ham, turkey, and swiss cheese. The wellington part of it put all that into a puff pasty which was baked. On the side was a sweet yet luxuriously smooth honey mustard.
In all the times that my mother and I went to this restaurant, I always ordered the same thing. I don't even know what else was on the menu. In fact, I don't even know what caused us to order this one dish in the first place, but I'm pretty sure that my mother and I both always got it.
And so I have recently been craving this monte cristo wellington. A brief google search has revealed no information about this restaurant at all and clearly no recipes for a monte cristo wellington.
I am sad.
