Lobster

Sometimes I just need lobster. J doesn't have the same seafood cravings I get, but he understands them, which is good. The bad side is I haven't had crabs in months. Perhaps I will also have steamed crabs when he is out of town this weekend.

A co-worker, CZ, recommended going to Chequer's for their weekday (no Fridays) happy hour. From 5-7, they do 1 lbers at cost, which I believe runs close to $11. They steam em (Maybe they boil em but they are so dry, I want to say the are steamed), and crack em so it's super easy to eat. I devoured a whole one in what felt like ten minutes.

The only sad thing about a small lobster is the small amount of tomalley. I think next time I will get two. Or three. Then I just need to leave work earlier.

Oh, I heard that Richard Blais has already left Home, which I heard wasn't that great anyway. He must have serious commitment issues. E told me about his dinner with K at Holeman and Finch. They had a great time and he even said it was worth their 45-60 min wait, which I thought was rather impressive. We noticed today when driving by that some new places have opened up on E Ponce where Pangaea was going to open a second location. I don't know what may have opened, but it's close to home so we'll find out soon!
