A better farmers market

J and I have long been regulars at the Dekalb Farmers Market. Although it's good as a weekly market, some other markets are superior in terms of:
- Quality of vegetables -- Buford Highway Farmers Market wins here especially for Asian veggies
- Chinese/Japanese/Mexican specialty items -- Well, they don't claim to be a specialty market
- Lack of swimming fish -- The options are just limited and the fish counter service is lacking
- Pork selection --

On this last issue, I did some research on Smithfield pork (the prior option at DFM) and found that not only is it not organic, but also they had some not cool fights with the unions. So J and I have been trying not to buy pork there at all. Instead, we have been happily running to Star Provisions for all our meat needs.

However, I'm happy to see that the Dekalb Farmers Market recently changed from Smithfield as a provider to Eden Natural pork (http://betterpork.com). It's certified Berkshire pork and they now carry things like good looking pork belly, fresh hams, and ham hocks!

So this, combined with carrying chicken feet, the farmers market is certainly making me happier!
